Born in Tokyo and bred in Yokohama, LEO spent her youth immersed in the sounds of Motown, gospel and classic soul.
@At sixteen she was so moved by a Mahalia Jackon recording of "Precious Lord, Take My Hand" that she decided her life to sharing her joy of music with her friends and family. At this point, she discarded her classical piano training in favor of gospel, which is the root of R&B, funk and soul.
@At twenty, she launched her professional carrier with a raw live performance at@live houses in Tokyo. She continues to amaze audiences all across Japan with her soulful voice and indelible style.
